– Scripture:
“Go ahead,” said Elijah, “but, mind you, don’t forget what I’ve just done to you.”
21 So Elisha left; he took his yoke of oxen and butchered them. He made a fire with the plow and tackle and then boiled the meat—a true farewell meal for the family. Then he left and followed Elijah, becoming his right-hand man.
1 Kings 19:20–21 MSG
– Reflection:
A Great Path
Sometimes, what God puts in your heart may not make sense on paper or to other people. But God won’t move you unless He has something better for you. Not long after that, Elijah was taken to Heaven, and Elisha received a double portion of his spirit. As a result, the prophet Elisha performed twice as many miracles as Elijah.
Where do we go from here?
Remember this: If you prioritize God, He will give you desires and open doors you never thought possible, providing you with opportunities, influence, favor, and resources. The best path is one of abundance that will take you further than you can imagine.
Our Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for knowing the best and most abundant path for our lives. Thank you for placing the right desires in our hearts to take us beyond our wildest dreams. We believe that You are opening doors for us that we could never open on our own. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
