– Today’s Community Scripture – 11/13/2024:
Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute! Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
Philippians 4:4–9 (MSG)

Pray About Everything
The verse above reminds us to turn to prayer and trust in God, which can bring us peace and comfort during tough times. When we find ourselves at a low point, it’s important to seek God’s understanding before reaching out to others. While we are encouraged to love and uplift each other in difficult situations, we often tend to add to the burden first. However, when we bring our struggles to God and allow Him to work through them, we can then involve others to support us in what God is doing. This approach ultimately leads to a better outcome. We will all experience low points at some time or another, so it’s essential to take our concerns to God first.
– Where do we go from here?
Bringing our problems and struggles to God not only honors Him but also helps us gather the strength needed to stand firm in what we’ve gained during our prayer sessions. Having the confidence to be ourselves and stay on our chosen path, even when we might be unaware of other possibilities, is always the best course of action.
– Our Prayer for Today
Father, thank you for standing with me in agreement in the areas of my life where I am weak. I truly need and accept your guidance. Please help us to become the people you envision us to be, honoring you first and loving one another as we love ourselves. Thank you. Amen.
